I wish this info had been available when I was a child, but thankful that our children are being helped now.

My husband was diagnosed with ADHD as an 8 year old. Medication was not an option to his parents, just tough love. It was a struggle for him for the next 15 years of his life. He turned out great, and is a great father to his kids but so many years of hardship with no treatment or help made it unnecessarily difficult for him. I think if your child has symptoms, get them evaluated and if needed, try anything and everything to help them because it is not something they will grow out of and it can greatly effect their future.
